This weekend promises to be a big one with 3 fixtures at Grangefield – a mouth watering top of the table clash between our 1XV and Percy Park, SARACENS playing local rivals Middlesbrough and our U16’s with the curtain raiser against Wharfedale RFC.
“A good win last week gives us confidence going into this fixture against current league leaders. Percy park are a strong side and have had some good results but our boys are more than ready for the challenge.
We’ve trained hard this week , everyone knows their role and how we want to play its just a case of being focused and executing our game plan. We’re excited. First versus second, these are the tough fixtures we relish being involved in.
Another exciting fixture, SARACENS host Middlesbrough in a local derby. Our lads know what a challenge this boro side will be but we must focus on ourselves. This team is full of exciting, talented players many of whom are putting on some real pressure for first team selection but we need to see some consistency and tenacity from our boys.
U16’s play a touring Wharfedale who are always strong at youth level. Our boys are a good side, well coached with some very talented individuals. They work really hard as a team and it’s a good opportunity for them to play in front of a crowd at Grangefield and be part of our super saturday event.’
