STOCKTON U16 PRESEASON
Stockton U16s completed their pre-season with an impressive 38-15 win at West Hartlepool on Sunday 1st September. The performance was a big improvement from the 26-12 defeat at Billingham the previous Tuesday, when the team looked very rusty, made lots of errors and did not play to their strengths.
Everyone played very well with tries coming from some slick handing moves from Simon (3), Xander (2) and Ayo adding another to his score for Billingham, where Dylan also scored on his debut. However, this was a true team effort with everyone contributing to the victory.
Sunday sees the season start in earnest with a very tough game, a home fixture against current county champions Gateshead. If we can build on Sunday’s positives I am sure that we will give them a good game.
