Storm Arwen put a stop to almost every game scheduled this weekend including our 1XV clash at home with Sunderland.
The only fixture that survived the weather front was our u12 vs Redcar. A peaceful Grangefield due to the whiteout in Stockton saw our kids travel over to the Cleveland coastline and we must thank the guys at RRUFC for ensuring a safe environment for the kids to play in.
Our side started well, spreading play early to touch down. Redcar however replied almost immediately with their players evading our defence and showcasing some impressive sidesteps.
Stockton regrouped in the breaks in play and listened to and implemented some of their coaches advice.
A great team effort. Player of the match was Ashton and the Players Player was awarded to Harrison. We do it all over again next week when every side from u7-u12 heads over to Redcar for fixtures.
Here’s to hoping for some less extreme weather next weekend so we can actually get some rugby played!
